When you come to Ranford Road Dental Centre for your appointment, our friendly staff will welcome you and introduce themselves. You’ll feel at home straight away in our cosy environment.
Your first visit
Before you see one of the dentists, a staff member will gather some pertinent information and your medical history using an iPad. After completing this portion of your appointment, you will be invited to take a seat in the waiting room.
We will let you know how long it’s likely to take before your dentist sees you. Our comfortable waiting room features magazines for your reading pleasure and toys, books and colouring sheets for your children while they wait.
Your child's first visit
At our dental clinic, we treating children is our specialty. We understand how important your child's first visit is, so we try to make it a fun experience, like allowing your child to hold the mirror and count their teeth.
Putting You at Ease
Your dentist will greet you and take the time to thoroughly explain what they’ll be doing regarding your care.
If you have any nervousness, our nurses do a brilliant job of reassuring patients to help put them at ease. Your first visit at Ranford Road Dental Centre takes about 50 minutes.
What to expect at your first appointment
Dental history discussion
During your appointment you will be greeted by your dentist, where all your concerns will be discussed carefully. Your dentist will run through your full history and get an understanding of your dental issues.
Oral examination and clean
A full oral examination will take place to assess your mouth, gums and teeth for any signs of concern.
X-rays (if required)
Your dentist may recommend taking x-rays of your teeth/mouth and may take some photographs and moulds of your teeth in some occasions where necessary.
Treatment options
This will be followed by a discussion of your treatment options and full estimates of the cost of treatment. We do offer flexible payment plans for larger treatments to make our services accessible for all patients.
