What is a health fund preferred provider?
As accessing dental care from your health fund’s participating health care provider can lead to savings, we’ve answered some common questions below including information provided by the Australian Dental Association.
A preferred provider or preferred practitioner is a dental clinic that is bound to a health fund’s conditions to deliver services at a specific rate. If you access treatment from a health care provider featured on your fund’s list of participating providers, you can access discounted treatment or agreed rates.
You may also be able to access a higher rebate from your fund under your extras cover policy, allowing you to save money on the cost of treatment for a wide range of conditions.
